Richard Forshaw-Smith

Richard is our founder and managing partner. A former journalist, he has been working in the communications business since 2001 and he focuses on sales and marketing, business development strategies, digital product development, research & insight, marketing, communications and engagement, social media, service design, reputation management and stakeholder management.

He set up RFS Marketing after becoming increasingly aware of the scepticism among business leaders about the impact and return on investment that marketing can have, and how industry jargon, attitudes and nonsense can be a massive turn-off for people.

Glyn Griffiths

Glyn Griffiths is primarily a qualitative researcher with over 20 years worth of healthcare and consumer experience. He has conducted more than a thousand interviews and groups with consumers, patients, healthcare professionals and opinion leaders. 

Endlessly fascinated in human behaviour and factors influencing our decision making and a firm believer that people are very poor witnesses to their own behaviour, Glyn use projective techniques to expose underlying beliefs and associations. Despite a tendency to believe that there is no substitute for sitting down and talking to people, he also has experience with monitoring and and analysing social media and online content, and has a clear understanding of benefits and limitations of doing so. 

Phil | RFS Marketing and Communications Ltd
Phil Picton

Web Developer

Phil is an experienced full-stack web developer. Based in Ivybridge, he builds websites, web apps, e-commerce and digital marketing solutions for businesses and charities in his local area and nationally. 

Originally a software engineer, Phil has been developing websites since 2002. His personal brand, Droplet Media, was established in 2014 and has an excellent reputation for high quality and competitive pricing. Most of his clients come to him via recommendation.

Phil is a member of the UKWDA, is a registered data controller, and is certified by Google for Digital Marketing, Adwords and Search Advertising.

Specialities: WordPress development, Vue.js, Laravel.

  

Amanda Bluglass

Video content director and producer

Amanda is the creative powerhouse behind all our video content. She’s equally happy making social media stop motion shorts, full-blown feature documentaries, corporate promos, music videos, charity films or TV commercials. Recent promo films have gained more than 200,000 views and increased sales by 22% for one client.
Her personal work has featured on the BBC, Channel 4, Huffington Post and The Atlantic. Recent clients have included NASA, London Olympics, Samsung, Etsy, National Trust and Photobox. She is also an Associate Lecturer in Media Arts at Plymouth University, UK.

Callum Earnshaw

Videographer and Editor

Cal began filming BMX and action sports as a teenager and after graduating with a degree in Television and Video Production, he turned his passion into a business, creating videos for some of the biggest brands in the industry. His style and originality has generated an impressive online audience, producing viral videos and gaining a sound reputation in his field.


Andy Thompson

Graphic Designer

Andy is a multi-disciplined and award winning Graphic Designer with over 18 years experience. He has enjoyed working for agencies across Devon, Wiltshire and in Australia. With a passion for successful design across print and web, he is dedicated to producing the best solutions for clients.

Ben’s an email marketing consultant with over 10 years marketing experience. Initially a web designer, and then a full mix marketer for 8 years he decided to concentrate on email marketing 3 years ago, working as an email marketing manager for a well known events company overseeing their
email marketing strategies for the UK and Europe. Now he supports businesses big and small, both Internationally and within the UK, from a wide range of sectors including but not limited to: Travel, Stationery, IT, Medical, Dentistry, Fashion, Events, Food, Communications, Educations, Electronics, Gaming, Toys, Lighting, Insurance and Law.
