Duration: This is a temporary role for 6 months

Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible on days, it can be fewer hours if your circumstances need it to be e.g. childcare)

Salary: Minimum wage

As trainee marketing executive, you’ll contribute to and develop integrated marketing campaigns for both RFS Marketing & Communications Ltd and our clients, to help promote products or services. This a varied role, which includes:

  • Planning
  • Advertising
  • Public relations
  • Product or service development
  • Social media marketing
  • Market research
  • Website development
  • Email marketing

Responsibilities

As a trainee marketing executive, you’ll need to work under supervision on behalf of RFS Marketing for our clients. This will include projects to:

  • Create awareness of and develop the client’s brand
  • Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships
  • Help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns
  • Support colleagues in delivering agreed activities for clients
  • Explore advertising opportunities and place adverts in appropriate media
  • Work closely with in-house and/or external partners to design marketing materials such as brochures, adverts and social media content
  • Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns
  • Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts
  • Run social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Source and secure sponsorship
  • Liaise with designers and printers and organise photo shoots
  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Maintain and update customer databases
  • Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external

Strongly desired (but we can be flexible for the right candidate):

  • GCSE English grade C or above or equivalent
  • A good standard of written and spoken communications
  • The ability to work under supervision and direction
  • An understanding of, and interest in, at least some aspects of digital marketing, such as social media, email and websites
  • Computer literacy (including Microsoft packages)
